Corn starts coming off the fire about 7:30 pm so don't miss it!
(Please RSVP to let us know you're coming. We don't want to run short on corn!)

Stone Tool Technology Show

Letchworth State Park
Castile, NY
August 23-25

"Letchworth" is the largest Stone Tool show in the Northeast, and we can't wait to go again this year. This one is on the calendar of just about every serious flintknapper and rock purveyor in the eastern U.S., so only bring as much money as you can afford to spend because when you see all the pretty, pretty rock, self-control quickly goes straight out the window!
Set in the area of the Genesee River, take an hour to check out the fabulous falls and the 600 foot gorge that the New York State Park website calls "the Grand Canyon of the east".
For more information & directions, check out the New York State Parks & Recreation website.

Open Skills Night & Winter Solstice Celebration!

Practical Primitive
Great Meadows, NJ
December 22 — 7pm until Everyone is Gone

Every December we invite you to join us and celebrate the end of the year and return of the sun with our Winter Solstice celebration. It's completely voluntary but if you wish we would love for you to be a part of our Solstice Bonfire and Renewal Ceremony. We will be lighting the bonfire at 7:30 and starting the ceremony at 8pm. It will be a simple ceremony of renewal for the new year as we release the things that have held us back in the past, and welcome in that which we want to embrace for the future. Throughout the rest of night we'll enjoy an evening by the fire with mulled cider, egg nog, sugar cookies and other delicious treats as we release the old year and look forward to the future. This is our final Open Skills Night until the Spring, and we look forward to celebrating with you!
